What is a diode?
A diode is an electronic component with two terminals (p and n) that controls the direction of electric flow. which will allow the current to flow in only one direction The diodes used are made of semiconductors. But in high-voltage technology, vacuum tubes are used. The first semiconductor diode was found in the sealed rectifier test, discovered by Karl Ferdinand Bruin in 1874 and developed in 1906.
Diodes are also non-linear. therefore improving the structure (p - n junction) and also being used for specific purposes as well. There are many types of diodes such as light-emitting diodes in light-generating devices, etc.
