E-commerce platform Shopee has announced that it will increase merchant fees from 2% to 3%.
The terms and conditions regarding rates, types, and calculation methods will be in accordance with Latest Addendum on Fees under Shopee's Policy by transaction fees It will be calculated from every order. with payment through 7 channels as follows
- Transactions paid via credit or debit card, from the original 2%, increased to 3%.
- Installment transactions via credit card increased from the original 2-5% to 3.5-5.5%.
- Payment-on-delivery transactions increased from 2% to 3%.
- Transactions paid via iBANKING (iBANKING PAYMENT) through banking channels (ATM PAYMENT), Mobile Banking (MOBILE BANKING) and bank transfers (BANK TRANSFER) from the original 2% increased to 3%.
- Transactions through ShopeePay WALLET by deducting money from WALLET BALANCE or automatic debit service (DIRECT DEBIT) from the original 2% increased to 3%.
- Transactions through SPayLater, shop now, pay later. and installment payments from the original 2% increased to 3%
- Transactions through SPECIAL SPayLater increase to 3.5-5.5%
- The sales fee for products in the electronics category is 3%, while other categories that are not in the electronics category are 5%.
However, Shopee may not collect fees if (1) the order is canceled by the buyer or seller; (2) the product is returned or refunded, provided the order is canceled or the product is returned within the Shopee Guarantee period; or Other periods specified by Shopee
